Dave and Bryan from Rod and Line review Belmont

Dave Hayes from the Rod and Line website, accompanied by his fishing mate Bryan Williams fished the Mallard Lodge on 23rd August - here is their report as written by Dave:

We fished on the double peg between the trees on the Swan Lodge side. Bryan fished the waggler and I fished the pole. It didn't take long before the respective floats were flying under - they were taking anything we offered them. We tried Corn, Luncheon Meat, Bread and Shrimp. Anything we offered up they gobbled up greedily. We had a good mix of silvers such as Roach, Rudd and Bream, but predominantly we were landing the famous Belmont Golden Tench. We must have had around 30 each. It was a fantastic days fishing and both Bryan and myself agree that this is one of the best waters in the North West.
